JEanne Renaux, Artistic/Program Director
Jeanne is the creator and founder of Stories Alive. She received her Masters of Arts in Teaching from Southern Oregon University in 2007 and has a BFA in Acting/Directing. Jeanne is an educator and program designer with a background in writing and performing for professional theater. She has over fifteen years of experience as a teacher in both private and public elementary schools and has taught as an adjunct professor at Southern Oregon University. She has served on committees and boards including the 2014 Holistic Education Conference Committee: Southern Oregon University, and the Expeditionary Learning Board for Quality Education: Tucson AZ 2011-2013. Her awards include: the Ben's Bells Community Service Award, 2011,Tucson AZ and Plaything's Magazine National Children's Entertainment and Marketing Award. Jeanne has performed in Equity theater productions as well as on film and television. Her goal is to work collaboratively with diverse teams and to build engaged communities in which children have the opportunity to rise beyond perceived limitations.
Ana Byers, Executive Director
Ana is the Executive Director, and Stories Alive! podcast producer for Stories Alive. She has a Bachelors of Arts in Theatre Arts, with an emphasis in performance, and is certified in non-profit management. Her background includes grant writing, event planning, fundraising, photography, and journalism. She has acted on stage, in film, in commercials, and in audiobooks. In addition to her duties as Executive Director and podcast producer, Ana loves to act in the Story Machine Program live shows, the Story Machine Trunk Shows, and the Stories Alive! podcast. Her desire is to support the voices of ordinary people, telling extraordinary stories.
