Stories Alive a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit literacy instruction and performing arts organization. We empower children through their writing.

Our mission is to ignite K-5th grade students' love of learning through arts-integrated literacy instruction, publication and performance.

We teach literacy instruction in elementary schools and summer camps; publish all original student writing in local libraries and schools; transform students' writing into original performances of professional theatre, and perform them in elementary schools, public venues for the larger commuity, and as podcasts of reader's theatre.

When children realize their words and ideas have meaning and power beyond themselves, beyond a grade, and beyond the classroom, they seize the opportunity to engage in the process of problem solving, creating, and imagining.

Check out the amazing work of our young authors!

“Thank you Jeanne and your amazing theatrical troupe! You did an incredible job bringing our students’ stories to life. The acting was entertaining, the costumes and props were extremely creative and effective, and the shadow puppets were magical. Thank you all for volunteering your time to make this journey possible. We appreciate your dedication to students, the atrs and literacy.”
